A friend from church has started a local chapter of a mentoring group for fatherless boys called 'Truth in Nature'. The program gets these young men outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, all with a quality mentor at their side. So when Dave asked if I would take his group fishing, I said heck yes! We caught some fish but it was a rough day weather wise. NOAA called for SW winds at 10-15 and seas 2 ft @ 8 seconds. It was 15mph+ winds and seas were 2-3 right on top of each other. We only bottom fished for 45 minutes before heading back in towards calmer water but still managed 8 nice Lane Snapper in that short time. Back in closer to the beach, we trolled for Kingfish while dodging thunderstorms and caught a small shark. We finished the day throwing the cast net for shrimp and got a handful. I think this young man had a great day!
