Family Day Cobia and a Storm

Writer's picture: Adam McIntyreAdam McIntyre

Took the family out for a day of fishing, my father-in-law just celebrated his birthday last week so that gave us a good excuse to go. Wind and waves were a little rough on the way out but it began to slick off in the afternoon. Frustrating sharks were hammering all of our nice keeper fish, and if it wasn't them, we'd get Grunted to death. But we did manage a couple of Lane Snapper, a nice Trigger, and this stud Cobia. We'll be eating good for a while! Got caught in a bad storm on the way in, no rain or lightning, but sudden wind speeds at 30-40mph made the going home a struggle.
