First time fishing in 12 days, weather was absolutely prohibitive offshore leading up to and through Memorial Day weekend. Had a wonderful family and their service dog Max from GA down for a 3/4 day trip. Being a 3/4 day I was able to get them out to some of my more primo spots but the fish were being a little tight lipped and stingy. 3 keeper snapper (a Lane and 2 Red Eyes) came over the gunwale immediately then things slowed considerably producing only a million grunts and undersized snapper. We moved all over to 7 more spots trying to find some willing fish. We ended the day with the three snappers, a Porgy and a Bluestriped Grunt and a very nice Red Snapper release. Windfinder called waves at 2.3ft @ 7 seconds with winds out of the North less than 10kts. Riding out at 20-22mph was a C+ and on the way back in at 32-34mph was an A-.
